Know What You're Buying - '55-'57 Chevrolets

I have owned several '55 Chevy 2 dr. post cars and have seen a lot advertised for sale as a Bel Air when in fact they are 210's with Bel Air badging. I have seen these advertised on the internet and on TV car auctions.

Here are a couple easy ways you can tell if it's a true '55-'57 Bel Air post.

(1) Side chrome on the door and front fender

(2) Chrome on top of doors and above rear side windows.

(3) If it's a '57, stainless fan (not painted) between chrome on rear 1/4 panels.

Just a heads up so you know what you're buying. How do I know? I bought my 1st '55 badged as a Bel Air, when in fact, it was a 210.

Thanks,

Jim Anderson
