1970 Dodge Challenger T/A

One of the best examples I have ever owned or have seen.
The car is Poly Green (F4) with matching Green interior.
The engine, transmission are original including the sheet-metal and TA hood, although the carburetors have been replaced (when purchased it had 440 carburetors) with the correct list number 1970 era carburetors 4789, 4790 and 4791,
Has correct date code carbs,
This is a 340 Six-Pack car and one of only 989 factory 4-speed manual cars with it's original fender tags,
While many of these cars had a rough life and later restored, this is an original and cherished survivor that has only had a high-quality repaint in the original color,
The odometer now shows 69K miles,
I bought the car from a well known East coast classic site when it was advertised as 65k miles.

Interior:

The interior the dash pad was recovered by Just dashes and the headliner was replaced with correct Legendary reproduction. The front and rear seat upholstery, door panels, and rear side panels are original and in very good condition. The floor was covered in loop-pile carpeting in very good condition. All knobs, handles, and controls are present and in very good condition.

The dash was equipped with the original Solid-State AM radio, a non-rally instrument cluster, the 4 speed console is a re-colored original 1970 console, steering column, and steering wheel were in very good condition.

Exterior:

The exterior had been re-painted in the original color. The finish showed excellent gloss and reflectivity, and appeared to have been expertly applied over a very well-prepared surface. Fit of the body panels, doors, and trunk was very good.

Front and rear bumpers are in very good condition. The grille, all bright trim, and emblems and insignia were in very good condition. The vinyl stripe kit and insignia are in good condition, as were the front and rear spoilers. The windshield was new, and all other glass was original and in very good condition.

The car was equipped with a full dual exhaust system,
The exhaust manifolds are the correct TA with the pn's on the inside,
The exhaust system has been replaced with correct reproduction parts and is in very good condition,
Wheels were original rally-style painted steel, fitted with center caps and trim rings all in excellent condition,
The car was equipped with performance radial tires, 235/60/15 in front and 275/60/15 in the rear, which showed excellent tread depth and no unusual or irregular wear patterns. The chassis was equipped with quick-ratio power steering and power disc brakes, and a new master cylinder had been installed. All suspension components appeared in very good condition.

I talked to 2 of the previous owners of the car which was mainly garaged, was never abused or damaged and they bought it as a low mile 4 speed car. The Challenger was used in scene in a movie (parked on the side of the street while bad guys drove past it). The history file includes a photo of Russell Crowe and the car with the prior owner. I have copies of the window sticker, broadcast sheet but dot have the originals. The model history is the Challenger was Introduced in fall 1969 for the 1970 model year, the Challenger T/A intended as a homologation special to qualify the Challenger for SCCA competition. This is a highly desirable and investment-grade example of a Challenger TA.
